The machine list matters less than the match. A PC200 digs fast and loads trucks all day, but it needs a low-bed route and a pad to sit on; a 3-tonne mini fits through a 1.8 m gate and will still cut a pool pit — just on a different calendar. We size the machine to the excavation, the haul distance and the ground, then confirm the mobilisation route in person. It's why our machines start work on day one instead of standing at the top of a lane.

Rates are written the way contractors argue about them later, so nobody has to. Day and weekly prices include the operator; fuel terms are stated per machine — wet or dry, your choice at booking; mobilisation is a fixed line item once we've seen the route; standby and overtime rates are printed on the same page. Wet-season work gets an honest note too: some clay sites simply stop after heavy rain, and we schedule for it.

Matching the machine to a Bali site

Excavation here is a soils story. Coastal sand digs easily and collapses just as easily, Ubud-side clay turns to grease after rain, and half the southern Bukit hides limestone that laughs at a standard bucket. We ask what you're digging — pool, footings, basement, septic set — and what the ground is, then send the machine that suits: a breaker-equipped 20-tonner for rock, a long-reach arm for deep cuts, a mini on rubber tracks where the driveway must survive the visit.

Haul-off is part of the same calculation. A machine that out-digs its trucks stands idle at your day rate, so we balance excavator size against truck cycle times and the tip distance. On tight lanes that sometimes means a smaller machine and one truck working a shuttle — slower on paper, cheaper in fact.

Operators, not just horsepower

The operator decides more than the machine does. Ours dig to level off a laser or a string line without being nursed, bench excavations so the sides stand through a rain shower, and know the difference between trimming beside a boundary wall and undermining it. For lifting duties — septic tanks, steel, precast — we plan the lift first: weight confirmed, slings rated, ground checked, exclusion zone marked. Rigging by guesswork is how tanks end up cracked and toes end up gone.

Bali adds its own operating rules. Ceremony days close roads with no interest in your programme, some banjars restrict working hours, and a lane that fits the low-bed on Tuesday may host a temple procession on Wednesday. We build mobilisation around the local calendar and keep the banjar informed — it costs a phone call and saves a stranded machine.
